When you arrive
When you arrive please inform our box office, which can be found right next to the main entrance on the ground floor, and ask them to contact the Duty Manager. The Duty Manager will then come and greet you and give you access to the space. On the day of the event the Duty Manager will be your primary contact and will be able to assist you with any enquiries or requests.
Load in / out details
Vehicle access can be found on Redchurch Street, with easy access into the building. The yard can accommodate a vehicle up to 16m long, and is for loading in and out only. Parking must be secured elsewhere. Please let us know in advance if you anticipate needing help loading in or out, or if you have any special access requirements.
Due to restrictions in our licence the service yard can only be used between 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 1pm on Saturdays. The yard cannot be used on Sundays. If loading out is likely to take place outside of these times we advise visiting companies to secure parking near the front of the building earlier in the day, as equipment will need to be taken out through the main entrance.
There is a door to gain access to the building, 1m 40cm wide and 2m high.
Our main lift dimensions are as follows: Length = 2m Width = 1.4m Height = 2.1m
Our licensing hours allow us to stay open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and midnight every other day. All events must end 15 minutes before closing time to allow us to clear the public from the building. The building will not automatically stay open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. If you would like your event to run until this time please notify us at least 2 weeks prior to your event so we can ensure we have the appropriate staffing levels.
Sound Checks & Technical Rehearsals
Sound checks in the Main Space for evening performances usually take place at 5pm and technical rehearsals in Venue 1 usually begin at 10am. Please contact our Technical Manager to confirm this or to request a different start time.
Due to restrictions in our licence we are required to limit the noise in our spaces to 101db. Please note that our duty managers and sound technicians will be monitoring and controlling noise levels to ensure that it does not exceed this.
We have a variety of dressing rooms available. Please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements.
Items are left in the dressing rooms at your own risk, and you are responsible for securing the space each time you leave. The Rich Mix building has over 20 private tenant companies, so even though a space may seem secure from the general public, it may still be accessible to non-Rich Mix staff if left unsecured.
The dressing rooms are for our Artistic Partners only, and we reserve the right to ask friends and guests to leave. Our dressing rooms are strictly non-smoking.
Comp Requests / Guest List
We must receive any guest lists or comp requests at least 24 hours before the event.
Storage / Deliveries
Please note that any storage requests must be made in advance, in writing, by emailing the Programming team or the FOH Manager. We have extremely limited storage space and so agreement will be dependent on the amount/size of the items you wish to store and the length of time you wish to store them. Items may be disposed of if they are not collected on the agreed collection date. Any items which are left behind following your event without prior agreement will be stored for a maximum of 5 days (subject to availability) and will be disposed of if they are not collected in good time. Likewise, any deliveries must be agreed in advance and should be arranged as close to the date of your event as possible.
As standard Rich Mix will supply one technician for public events with the use of technical equipment. Further technical assistance will need to be agreed in writing with the programming team and will be at Rich Mix’s discretion on receipt of full technical specifications.
The Box Office standard closing time is 11pm. If you require the box office to stay open later, this will need to be agreed in writing with our Box Office Manager at least 2 weeks before your event and will be at Rich Mix’s discretion.
