Call Out: Black Hair and Regeneration Workshop
Let’s talk hair! Weave? Beach curls? Braids? High Bun, Bob cut? Natural Fro? Bangs? Silky Perm? Pixie crop? How do you wear yours?
Cultural Co-operation’s commissioned a new play by Racheal Ofori: Black Hair and Regeneration. We’re keen to hear from young women (16+) of all backgrounds interested in theatre, writing and open discussions. Racheal wants to hear about your lives and experiences; how you face the world and what part your hair plays in your self-image.
The project is supported by Arts Council England.
Racheal Ofori is a writer and actor based in London. Her one woman show ‘Portrait’, directed by Kate Hewitt, was performed to a sell-out audience at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015 before heading off on a UK tour, finishing at the Bush Theatre as part of the Radar Festival from 16 – 18 November 2015. The most recent performances were at the Southbank Centre as part of the Women Of The World Festival, March 2016.
