In April 2016 Rich Mix turned 10. As part of our birthday celebrations we will be commissioning a range of new work that is rooted in the East End, and curating a programme that explores the historical, political and artistic context in which Rich Mix was conceived and founded. We intend for our programme to celebrate the rich diversity of the local area and to examine how the arts is closely linked to political and social change.
Rich Mix is delighted to announce the appointment of Eddie Berg as our new Chief Executive. Eddie worked at the British Film Institute for ten years, first leading the creative and commercial development of BFI Southbank and then setting up a number of large-scale UK-wide film exhibition and education initiatives as Director of Partnerships. He is also the Founder and former Chief Executive of FACT (the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, widely regarded as one of the UK’s most innovative arts organisations.
