Q. How do I make a donation?

A. As a charity we welcome donations, you can do this here. When booking tickets online it is also possible to make a donation to Rich Mix which can be added in your order total. We rely on donations to continue our work in the local community with artists and young people. Rich Mix is a registered charity and it is possible to Gift Aid any donation that you give.

Q. How do I collect my tickets / can I get my tickets posted? 

A. All tickets are to be collected from the Box Office. We do not post out tickets.

When purchasing your cinema tickets, you will automatically receive an e-ticket. There is no need to queue, follow the red line from the ground floor Box Office to 1st floor, past concessions and present your e-ticket. If you do not have a smart phone, please print at home. Please be aware, membership cards and ID will be checked upon presenting your e-ticket.

Q. Can I get a refund?

A. Tickets are not refundable but they may be exchanged on the condition that it’s 24 hours before the event and that we physically have tickets here at our Box Office. Exchanges are subject to the discretion of the Box Office and Management team.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. We accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, and Maestro. Cheques to be made payable to Rich Mix Cultural Foundation.

Q. What time does the venue open for events?

A. Please refer to individual event listings on our website for information on screening and event timings. 

Please do note that the start times listed on the website:

  • For events taking place in the Main Space are door times
  • For films are screening start times, but do include trailers 
  • For events taking place in Venue 1 and Venue 2 are actual event start times

All running times are subject to change. Where possible we update our website and notify bookers of any changes asap. 

Q. Is Rich Mix accessible?

A. Rich Mix is fully accessible. The main entrance on Bethnal Green Road is ramped and lifts inside give access to all levels in the venue including our cinema screens.  We have accessible toilets located in reception, 1st floor cinema concessions area, 4th floor where theatre spaces are located and in the cinema block there is one located on the 2nd floor. All disabled toilets have Radar locks fitted, please ask at Box Office for the key, or alternatively more information about the scheme can be found here https://crm.disabilityrightsuk.org/radar-nks-key

Our Box Office has an induction loop for guests who are hard of hearing. Visitors with hearing aids can make use of this facility by switching their hearing aid to the 'T' position. In Screen 3 we have headsets for auto-description, please ask our Box Office for more details.  

We are also a part of the general cinema industry initiative of CEA cards, which entitles the holder to one free ticket for their carer. All three screens have accessible bays, please ask Box Office for more information at the time of booking.

Q. What if I’m late to an event?

A. We delay entry of latecomers until a suitable break in the performance, which may be during the interval or at the discretion of the Duty Manager. However, there will be some events where at the request of the performers we will not be able to admit late comers. Please refer to individual listings, although often we will not be aware of this until the day of the event, so please call our Box Office for more information. For Cinema+ screenings, customers arriving 15 minutes after the film has started will not be admitted. No refunds will not be issued for latecomers.

Q. Are there any age restrictions for events / screenings?

A. Please check the full listing of the event, some our live shows have age recommendations, and children can only be admitted with adequate adult supervision. 

  • Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all films starting after 7pm. (Any classified films must be adhered to as per BBFC guidelines. We reserve the right to refuse entry if its deemed inappropriate and no proof of age is given.)
  • All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult for our evening events in the Main Space.
  • Some of our live performances have age recommendations and children will not be admitted without adequate adult supervision.
  • Younger children are welcome but if they become unsettled during a performance, if this is affecting other patrons experience, we may ask you to take them outside.

Q. Do you have to pay for children under 2 years old?

A. No, they are classified as babies in arms and do not require a ticket.

Family Ticket*

Q. Do you charge booking fees?

A. Yes, tickets purchased over the phone and online are subject to a £1.50 booking fee per transaction. There is no booking fee for tickets purchased in person at the Box Office or if you are a member.

Q. Do you offer parent and baby screenings/ senior screenings?

A. Yes, we offer screenings for both parents and babies and seniors. Please check our weekly cinema listings for showings.

Parents and Babies / Every Monday at 12pm / £6
All parents can bring their babies (2 years and under) to watch the latest releases without having to worry about the little ones making noise. We have created an environment where babies will not be disturbed while you sit back and enjoy your movie. The volume will be lower and the lights will be raised throughout to create a more calming environment for our customers. Please note only parents with babies are able to attend these screenings. 3D screenings are £1 extra + £1 for glasses (you may bring your own). You may bring your own glasses.

Seniors / Every Tuesday / £4
Come along and enjoy Tuesday afternoon screenings of the latest films for only £4. Please call our Box Office number for further film details. 3D screenings are £1 extra + £1 for glasses (you may bring your own).

Book in person or over the phone. Offer not available with online bookings.

Film for £6 / Every Monday and Tuesday 
We exclusively offer Tower Hamlets' Idea Store and Tower Hamlets' Library members films for just £6 every Monday and Tuesday. Film tickets can be booked over the phone or in person at the Rich Mix Box Office. Card must be shown at Box Office when picking up tickets. 3D screenings are £1 extra + £1 for glasses (you may bring your own).

Film Competitions
Merchandise offered on social media competitions will be given away at the discretion of Rich Mix staff and will only be handed over once the winner's name and email address has been received by Rich Mix. Competition winners must collect their prizes from Rich Mix's main Box Office, unless prizes are being mailed out directly by distributors. Offer is non-exchangeable and can be withdrawn at any time.

Free Passes Restricted
If you have a voucher or complimentary pass for free entry to a cinema screening at Rich Mix, please note that these tickets may not be valid for some of our latest titles. This is the Free Passes Restricted (FPR) period, which means free passes are invalid for this title for a short amount of time, as these restrictions are imposed on us by the distributors.

Q. Can I purchase gift vouchers for Rich Mix?

A. Yes, gift vouchers can be purchased from our Box Office. They can be redeemed through our Box Office, bar and concession stand. We do not post our gift vouchers.

Q. What are the terms and conditions of my Rich Mix membership?

A. Rich Mix memberships are available to purchase online and in person at Box Office.

Auto Renewal

If you selected Auto Renewal or agreed to Auto Renewal when purchasing your membership, it will automatically be renewed with 14 days notice. You can cancel Auto Renewal by logging into your account or calling the Box Office on 020 7613 4790

Single and Joint Memberships

Free tickets do not include Cinema+ events/ screenings.

Ticket discount means a £2 discount for each ticket to be used by a single or joint membership. Discount applies to the ticket purchased for the second member of a Joint Membership but does not apply to additional tickets purchased by a member for other guests. 3rd party offers may be subject to change. 

MIXERS Membership

Mixer membership is for anyone from the ages of 16-25, including the whole of their 25th year. 

The £6 Mixer film ticket price does not include Cinema+.

5 free tickets have been set aside for Mixer members for every live gig or event at Rich Mix subject to availability. Mixer members can apply to redeem 1 free ticket. It is first come first served, and free tickets are limited to 1 free ticket per Mixer member. Free tickets do not include any Films or Cinema Plus events.

All Rich Mix members are automatically opted into receiving Members mailings so all Members are aware of their exclusive offers.
