Takeover 2018: Firsts - Workshop

There will be four different taster workshops in which you’ll get to experience four different activities for the first time, led by professioanls in their field. From salsa with professional dancer Sami Rodriguez, and Arabic calligraphy with artist Medeah Yaqub, to poetry and creative writing with Cheryl Ndione.
Later, enjoy live music, poetry, comedy acts and theatrical performances. Hear tales and stories from diverse acts about their ‘first’ experiences, whether they be about their first heart break to their first time stepping foot in the UK.
To wrap up the night, stick around for an after party to continue the fun, with a brilliant DJ!
Project Tidalwave is a group of young women from diverse backgrounds in London dedicated to finding ways of bring different communities in London together. We wish to celebrate the endless creative works and activities that are being done by communities of colour in London.
