In a nutshell

Archiving British Somali presence in the East End. Featuring storytelling, filmic, poetic, musical, visual and literary, this is a celebration of heritage, the East End, British Somali community and creativity.

A sharing of traditional Somali food will take place before the storytelling event. Featuring different forms and freshly created work and responses from the Coming Here Being Here participant’s engagement with the archiving project. Somali traditions of storytelling will mix with contemporary- multi arts formats. Also featuring a ceremonial dance, song and spoken word.

Numbi resident artists and special guests Including Somali singer and dancer Kaltun Bacado with Musician Salah Hariri and Duaale Yare.
