In a nutshell

One of the original composers of acclaimed 1980s soundtrack to the Moomins TV show, Graeme Miller, performs a live re-score of the Film Polski animation, 'Moomins and the Comet'.

Go on...

Following the five-star, critical acclaim of the recently released album on Finders Keepers Records of the soundtrack, to the UK TV version of the The Moomins, one of its original composers, Graeme Miller has created a new and unique full re-scoring of Tove Jansson’s second book of the Moomins, Comet in Moominland, which features some of the original themes. Using a tabletop of vintage synthesisers and folk instruments from the original composer for the 1980s Film Polski "fuzzy-felt" Moomins animation, this live rescore features recently re-released themes by Graeme Miller and Steve Shill.

The live re-score is performed by Graeme Miller and Jamie Telford (The Jam, My Glass Menagerie) from a kitchen table full of small instruments including a box of cornflakes accompanying Moomintroll and his friends on a wild adventure to the Observatory in the Lonely Mountains to find out if the Comet that is approaching will destroy Moomin Valley.

A great afternoon for the family, this is the chance for Moomins fans old and new to experience Film Polski’s wonderful animations accompanied by a live score.
