In a nutshell
A festival celebration of the best emerging musical talent and genres, in the heart of Shoreditch...
London Remixed Festival returns to Rich Mix for two days of festival fun taking over the entire venue. Expect creativity, music and madness, complete with buzzing atmosphere and bar… but without the mud, rain or hassle of camping!
On Friday, Bring Your Own Brass and The Brass Funkeys go head to head in a Brass Off! Then DJ Chris Tofu and Count Bassy take over on the desks.
In addition we will be holding a very special free concert on the Friday in aid of refugees. Throughout the course of history global hubs like London have been defined, shaped and moulded by a myriad of ethnicities constantly adding ingredients to their cultural and musical melting pots. Here we explore The Next Wave - The Latest Sounds of the London Underground at our Folk of the World concert in association with the Refugee Community Kitchen charity. The event will be held at Richmix as part of the London Remixed Festival 2017 and will showcase refugee artists as well as musicians from Syria, Iraq and Turkey. This event will be free entry, acting as a fundraiser for the Refugee Community Kitchen, to help celebrate the beauty, richness and diversity of refugees music and culture as well as raise awareness of the refugees situation in the UK and what you can do to help.
Join us for the Saturday sessions: Tropicarnival, Polka Club and Folk Ghetto. This year's line up will have you dancing all day and night: Beating Heart + Afriquoi (DJ Set), Mango Rescue Team, Matuki, JJ SoulX, Gypsy Hill Ft Koby Israelite, Op Sa!, The Elephant Sessions, Ruth Theodore, Screamin' Miss Jackson, Faith I Branko, and Nina Harries to name a few! The African Market will be here on the day with beautiful arts, crafts and fashion. And of course, it wouldn't be the Remixed Festival without the legendary disco lift!
