Culminating Shubbak London festival of contemporary Arabic music and culture, Kahareb - كهارب, meaning ‘electrified/ electric’ in Arabic, is a view into the burgeoning electronic music culture of Arabic electronic and underground artists. Diverse in their approaches and backgrounds, each artist incorporates their unique strengths and styles, ranging from hip-hop, folk, dabke, trance and house. Immerse yourself in sounds the finest Arab underground and electronic artists in Shubbak’s rousing music finale;  don’t miss out on this exciting showcase in the heart of London.

A fascinating combination of 4 Djs and a live electronic act that will have you dancing all night; the guaranteed fuel to a lively and genre-defying show.

Who's Involved

Maurice Louca is one of the pioneering musicians in Cairo’s electronic music scene, his  influences vary from psychedelic to Egyptian shaabi. For this concert Maurice will be expanding his set to playing with a live trio.

Dj Skywalker is a Palestinian DJ and electronic music producer, plays Techno, House, and other deeper sub-genres, with a unique twist of her own.

Dj Missy Ness is the pioneering first female DJ in Tunisia, she is renowned as one of the pillars of the underground and alternative scene in the region. Her music is intimately related to the urban cultures, with a specific focus on Maghreb. 

DJ Sotusura is a Palestinian producer and beatmaker of the finest Arabic hip hop and electronic music.

Beirut World Beat is an innovative blend of sounds from the Middle East and the Mediterranean, from Italian DJ Salvatore De Simone.

Marsm is an events company that promotes the rich and diverse culture of the Arab world across the UK
