In a nutshell
UNDRHUNGER is a fundraising gig organised by and featuring young Londoners which aims to raise awareness and money in support of Centrepoint.
Hosted by Jack Matthew and Anna-Marie Descartes, UNDRHUNGER will be a night where this generation of the hottest new talent in film and music will take a stand and help Londoners who are affected by youth homelessness and hunger. There will be music performances and exclusive premieres of short films. The night will conclude in a special, surprise headliner performance.
UNDRHUNGER is a campaign and a night that young Londoners help young Londoners. They are going to build a community and take action against homelessness and hunger amongst their peers.
All ticket profits and donations will go to Centrepoint. Join UNDRHUNGER for a night to remember and to make a difference.
What to Expect
Hosted by Anna-Marie Descartes and Jack Matthew the night will feature performances by new artists such as Diamantina, Renné, Civil & Nics, Rhythm of Men and Russeni, and include premiere screenings of commissioned short films by young London filmmakers delving into the subjects of youth homelessness.
Also featuring appearances from some surprise guests, who will help celebrate our city and stand by those affected by homelessness and hunger in London.
You'll be able to buy exclusive UNDRHUNGER T- Shirts at the event, and there will be a Films for Food Collection station, where you can donate non-perishable food items and toiletries to local foodbanks.
UNDRLNDN (pronounced UnderLondon) is a community of young London friends who get together at The Chapel Cinema in Bethnal Green for monthly events. Founded in January 2017, they have been able to be featured in events with Netflix (Manchester Arndale), The XX (Night and Day Fest) and Brixton Pound. They have also had nights at Athlone Hall in Kentish Town and the underground Whirled Cinema in Brixton.
UNDRLNDN aims to connect, kickstart and create work for London Independent filmmakers and creatives.
Why does Rich Mix matter?
'Rich Mix is in one of the most creative parts of London so I think it is essential for it to be ahead and driving the pace and content for new work in our city. I am joyous that we have had a chance to collaborate for UNDRHUNGER and hope we can make a night we will all never forget.'
