The Debbies Awards night is for anyone interested in making a career in television. The evening will showcase the best new creatives in TV, as well as launching The Network and Ones to Watch 2018, the free talent schemes to help you get in and get on in the TV industry.

Actor/filmmaker Femi Oyeniran will be hosting The Debbies Awards for the best new and emerging writers, directors, pilot producers - and the TV companies that are nurturing the next generation.

What to Expect

As well as The Debbies Awards, the night will mark the 2018 launch of the Edinburgh TV Festival’s free talent schemes for people working behind the scenes in television.

After the awards ceremony, meet and mingle with TV talent managers, programme makers, talent schemes alumni and award nominees.

Who's Involved

Edinburgh International Television Festival Talent Schemes
The Edinburgh International Television Festival is a charitable organisation, with a remit to help people from a diverse range of backgrounds get in and get on in the TV industry.

Femi Oyeniran
Femi is an actor/filmmaker who has starred in hit films including Kidulthood, Adulthood and Anuvahood. Femi co-runs production company PurpleGeko and is currently working on a sequel to his second film The Intent.

The UK's largest independent television, film and digital production and distribution company and sponsor of the All3Media New Voices Award for new television writers.

The Farm Group
A multi-award winning, leading independent television and film post-production group and supporter of the Test Card Award for self-produced TV pilots.
