Darkest Hour

Friday 12 January

about the film:

On the eve of World War II, Winston Churchill (Academy Award nominee Gary Oldman) faces one of his most turbulent and defining trials of his life, just a few days of becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain.

He must decide whether to explore a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or stand firm and fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation.

As a seemingly unstoppable Nazi force rolls across Western Europe, the threat of invasion is imminent.

With an unprepared public, a skeptical King, and his own plotting party set against him, Churchill must withstand his darkest hour, rally a nation, and attempt to change the course of world history.
