THE REINVENTION OF WRITING
Until Thursday 30 June 2016
In a nutshell
Parisian artist Kofi Frimpong shows London The Reinvention of Writing.
What to expect
Exhibition of 10 pieces including two which have never been seen before, made exclusively for Rich Mix.
Before devoting his time to his painting, Kofi sharpened his graphic sense in the world of communication and advertising. Over the years and after several exhibitions, his identity has emerged to lead to an oscillating between painting Cubism and figurative. After the Prehistory Modern exhibition, where he showed the birth of his project back to Prehistory then right through the ages, Kofi has emerged as an artist’s personality but also the singular universe.
Today, Kofi shows an impressive maturity in his creations with influences based on the primitive arts and the pop iconography of comics in the 1960 Da Vinci’s history. Between Picasso, Dubuffet and Poliakoff, Kofi invites you to travel the depths of the caves of his imagination in constant ebullition.
