100 EAST LONDON STORIES

This autumn Rich Mix is piloting a brand new project, working with school pupils from Tower Hamlets to make 5 short films on the people of east London.

The young people will work with Futureversity and a professional film making team developing a broad range of skills. Their film subjects will make up a slice of east London life. The pilot project will focus on east Londoners working or living (or both!) in the Shoreditch/Spitalfields/Broadgate areas.

Once made, these shorts will be screened ahead of feature films in our cinema from February – March 2018.

These five film portraits will form part of a larger series of 100 East London Stories, produced by Rich Mix in association with the School of Arts and Digital Industries at the University of East London. Once completed, the 100 film portraits will be presented as part of a special event across east London, in which each of the completed films will be shown in different and surprising locations across one night. The film portraits will also form part of a new digital archive at Rich Mix, which will be accessed by thousands of visitors.

This project is generously supported by British Land and Broadgate.
