"Everything that the big city threw away, everything that it lost, everything it despised, everything it crushed underfoot, he catalogues and collects...he sorts things out and makes a wise choice; he collects, like a miser guardian a treasure, the refuse which will assume the shape of a useful or gratifying object between the jaws of the goddess of industry" - Charles Baudelaire
Centred around the theme of discarded objects, this group exhibition shines a light on the abundance of waste and material goods and the impact it has on our societies. Artists reproduce, reinvent worlds and invest old thrown away material with new meaning.
There will be a drinks reception and performance to celebrate the opening of the exhibition on Wed 7 May.
