A free special programme of short films including Coexist and a Q&A based on the theme of Holocaust Memorial Day 2012 “Speak Up, Speak Out”.
Coexist
Coexist tells the emotional stories of women who survived the Rwandan genocide in 1994. They continue to cope with the loss of their families as the killers who created this trauma return from jail back to the villages where they once lived. Faced with these perpetrators on a daily basis, the victims must decide whether they can forgive. In this remarkable documentary film, the survivors share their inner most feelings on confronting the killers, and speak up, speak out on their life in post-genocide Rwanda today.
