Following the sell out success of Mark Gonzales' recent UK tour, Soul City Arts in partnership with the Rich Mix is proud to present Liza Garza with David J Pugilist.
Liza is US-based Emmy Award nominated poet, vocalist and songwriter as well as a HBO Def Jam Poet. She infuses the cultural soul of mexican folk tunes in modern ballads with the intricacy of Hip Hop rhyme schemes, bridging the Ancestral with the Modern.
She will be accompanied on stage by David J Pugilist, a London based spoken word poet and vocal gymnast of national acclaim, featured in Channel 4's 'Random Acts' short film series.
