Paradigmz presents Physionyx the Trilogy
In his first full length solo Paradigmz highlights, questions and challenges views and beliefs regarding the black male body in dance as well in western society.
A work that was first constructed in 2001 Paradigmz has managed to turn a work that was initially a questioning of his training first in contemporary dance then ballet, African and Caribbean dances. Paradigmz expanded the work in 2003 to look at the black male construct within wider society. It has taken a journey of personal growth that has been a lived experience both in life and in his dance to finally complete the trilogy and create a resolution within himself and his art that culminates in the completion of the work in 2011, ten years after it was first conceived. The entire trilogy will be shown for the first time ever at Rich Mix.
