OLDNEWBORROWEDBLUE, the biggest wedding album in the world
Launched last year on the day of the Royal Wedding, oldnewborrowedblue is a varied collection of wedding photos from around the world and across the generations. Older and young people are asked to work together to share their family wedding photos and stories by adding them to this online public gallery.
A selection of these photographs and stories, particularly local contributions spanning from the 1920 to 21st century, will be on displayed in the Rich Mix lower café gallery area from the 8th February - 19th February.
This exhibition has been brought to you in partnership with Rich Mix, Magic Me and The Photographers' Gallery is part of the Snapshots Festival 'Valentine's: An East End Love Affair'.
Do you have a cherished picture of your Great Grandmother’s marriage ceremony? A wonderful story from when your Uncle tied the knot? A precious photo of yourself in your wedding attire on your mantelpiece? Then why not share it with the public and add to what is intended to become the biggest wedding album in the world.
On the 18th February between 1pm - 4pm the Lower Cafe gallery will be set up with a computer and scanner so that you can add to the collection!
oldnewborrowedblue, an online album of wedding pictures across the generations, is jointly organised by Magic Me and The Photographers’ Gallery.
