Award-winning Romanian singer-songwriter Monooka founded Monooka's Caravan to perform traditional songs from the Carpathian Mountains in a powerful collaboration with three British musicians, Meg Hamilton, Matt Bacon and Paul Moylan, leading lights in the revival of interest in Eastern European music in the UK.

Joined by Romani ?ambal (cymbalum) player Cristi  Vasile Cozma,  Monooka blends the fiery Romanian and Gypsy songs of her roots with  refreshing spontaneity, a distinctive voice, improvisation and genuine soul. Monooka is also a storyteller and puppeteer, so you can expect an evening of laughter and joy as well as deeply touching folk songs and fine musicianship.
