Taking over the top floor theatre and gallery spaces of Rich Mix, Free to Fall is a regular, live cross arts scratch event providing a performance platform for new works in progress from both current and emerging choreographers.
Free to Fall provides a valuable forum and space for both artists and audiences to interact and engage in lively debate about developing choreographic ideas.
This is an opportunity for contemporary artists to not only present new works and ideas but also to network and make links with future collaborators.
If you’re interested in the idea of sampling four different performance experiences in one night, engaging in the creative process and supporting todays current artists, Free to Fall is for you. Each artist shares a 10 minute section of their new work followed by an opportunity for both artists and audiences to interact and engage in lively debate about developing their ideas.
Including live music bar and gallery, Free to Fall is a refreshing and sociable night out.

Rich Mix Artist in Residence, Lee Smikle is seeking submissions of interest for ‘Free to Fall’ – a regular event at Rich Mix in Shoreditch. Free to Fall is a scratch night where both emerging and established choreographers and visual artists can share new works in progress in an intimate theatre and gallery space. It provides a performance platform and forum for artists and audiences to interact and engage in lively debate about developing their ideas.
Share work before a final edit or first performance; use it as an opportunity to film work for marketing and promotion; invite industry professionals to view your work; or receive valuable peer and audience feedback. Whatever your performance, Free to Fall is an opportunity to network, enjoy new work, and make links with possible future collaborators.
Submissions are aslo welcome from visual artists, film makers, photographers, musicians and DJ’s interested in exhibiting/sharing works in progress linked to or with an interest in the theme and subjects of movement and collaboration.
