On Saturday 2 November (Day of the Dead) The Black Pit of Dr M (Misterios de Ultratumba, 1959, 71 min.) Federico Méndez’s authentically gothic tale of two doctors who make a horrifying pact in order to explain the secrets of the afterlife, will set the spine-chilling atmosphere for a night in which anything could happen.
With a supernatural soundtrack from G-Bop Orchestra and the Latin American big band sounds of Voodoo Love Orchestra guaranteed to raise the dead from their sleep, a twist on traditional Day of the Dead dance and theatre performances featuring performers and costumes from Mandinga Arts Project and Critical Masquerade, Lucha Libre horror film visuals, DJs Cal Jader (Movimientos) back to back with Oscar Arroyo (Chilango), Mexican face-painting and more, this promises to be one unforgettable fright-filled fiesta!
