This Sunday - The World’s Longest Pong

Your Chance to be a Ping Pong World Record Holder!

This Sunday 20 November from 12pm in our bar

As seen in The Guardian, Thu 17 Nov 2011

The newly reformed English Ping Pong Association (EPPA) will attempt to break the official Guinness World Record for ‘most people participating in a table tennis rally’ on the afternoon of Sunday 20 November 2011 at Bethnal Green’s Rich Mix arts centre, and everyone is welcome to join in and become an official Guinness World Record Holder!

The current record of 101 players – held by a German table tennis pro and 100 Chinese table tennis students – is ready to be toppled, and we’re inviting players of all abilities to take part. All you’ll need to do to become a World Record holder is to legally return the ball to the other side of the table, and then cross your fingers that at least 101 of your fellow participants manage the same. More information on the current record and how we plan to break it can be found at the EPPA website: www.pingpongengland.co.uk.

On the day there will be plenty of practice tables, food and drink and DJs to keep you going, so why not get together a group of friends to hang out together on a Sunday afternoon.

Doors open for registration at 12pm, and the first attempt at the record will be at 1pm.

If you want to take part, please register as a potential World Record breaker on the EPPA's website: www.pingpongengland.co.uk.

Last-minute players and of course spectators are more than welcome on the day!
