Red Bull Curates...
We kick off our winter/spring season with a new visual art instalment in our main space in collaboration with Red Bull. Local artist Hicks has transformed the Rich Mix main space wall over the weekend.
About Hicks
Hicks cut his teeth in Southampton with the 54 crew and while there made so many canvases he had to leave them out on the street on a daily basis.
He then isolated himself in the West Country, drinking Cider and perfecting a brush line so perfect it won him the Secret Wars live art tournament, many fans and jobs all over the UK and abroad.
These days he spends his time illustrating, painting murals and singing the blues from his cave in North London.
This non-figurative piece is a re-imagining of modern cave painting/mapping. When form is forbidden: pattern maketh the man.
