Our news

Rich Mix has begun showcasing some of the best films of 2011/2012 as part of its NOMINATIONS AND AWARDS SEASON.

Our cinema goers have the opportunity to experience films up for awards glory on the big screen.These films will be the main runners and riders in categories of the Academy Awards, the BAFTAS and The Golden Globes.

The films will run for the period leading up to the Academy Awards Ceremony on Sunday 26 February.

We are currently screening:

Shame (18)

  • BAFTA nominated, Outstanding British Film and Michael Fassbender for Leading Actor

War Horse (12A)

  • BAFTA nominated, Janusz Kaminski for Cinematography

We will be screening:

The Descendants (15)

  • Golden Globe winner, Best Motion Picture (Drama) and George Clooney for Best Actor (Drama)
  • BAFTA nominated, Best Film, Adapted Screenplay and George Clooney for Leading Actor

The Artist (PG)

  • Golden Globe winner, Best Comedy/Musical, Jean Dujardin for Best Actor (Drama) and Ludovic Bource for Best Score/Motion Picture
  • BAFTA nominated, Best Film, Original Screenplay, Cinematography, Michel Hazanavicius for Best Director, Jean Dujardin for Leading Actor and Bérénice Bejo for Leading Actress

The Iron Lady (12A)

  • Golden Globe winner, Meryl Streep for Best Actress (Drama)
  • BAFTA nominated, Meryl Streep for Leading Actress, Jim Broadbent for Supporting Actor and Abi Morgan for Original Screenplay

And the Award goes to… Rich Mix!

Rich Mix is bringing the Hollywood glamour to the East End. Put on your black tie or designer dress and join us to watch the Academy Awards live on our 20ft screen. The next best place to be if you can’t make it to the Kodak Theatre!

You will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly on the mezzanine where you can chat with the other fabulous guests and tell us your predictions. Around 10.30pm, you will be able to make your way to the bar where you will be served   a glass of wine or a bottle of beer, popcorn and nibbles.

From 11pm onwards, watch the movie stars on the red carpet and the Awards Ceremony. Prizes will be awarded to those guests who predicted the most wins.
