Now in its fourth year, and taking place all over the capital, the London Children's Film Festival, presented by the Barbican and the Independent Cinema Office, is an exciting celebration of children's cinema from around the world. Rich Mix will be hosting the following screenings and events as part of the festival.

The Seven of Daran: Battle for Pareo Rock (PG; ages 8+)

An adventurous and magical trip through the African jungle. Jimmy is an 11-year old European boy who goes to Africa with his mother on a business trip. One day he gets lost in the town market and meets a mysterious speaking giraffe, who tells him about a tribal battle over land. Based on the ancient myth of ‘The Seven of Daran’, this is a thrilling story about believing in yourself.

An amazing collection of short films from Africa. From childhood dreams to musical aspirations, and gorgeous animation to a kid’s life in one of the largest slums in Africa, this unique programme will take you to the four corners of this fascinating but troubled continent.
