Rich Mix is taking part in A Night Less Ordinary, a scheme run by Arts Council England and the Metro newspaper to offer people under the age of 26 free tickets on theatre shows nationwide. In April 2009, Rich Mix delivered a one-week FREE graffiti art project, for young people. The project was run with Top Dog Workshops and sponsored by Telford Homes. Click here for details about the project and for pictures of the young artists at work.

As a local organisation which aims to showcase the best of the East End, Rich Mix is very excited to launch its Youth Ambassadors scheme. We are recruiting dynamic young volunteers aged 15-25. Could you act as an ambassador for our venue? Do you want to assist the Rich Mix team on marketing and campaign jobs?

As an Ambassador, you’ll get the chance to:
- Receive free tickets to cinema and cultural events
- Keep in touch with what’s on in your area and in London
- Meet industry professionals based at Rich Mix
- Meet other young people that share your interests and ideas
- Be called on for casual jobs that fit in with your schedule
- Discover the ‘behind the scenes’ of a cultural social enterprise
- Take part in the most exciting cultural project going on in your area
- Access job opportunities that match your skills and experience
- Advise Rich Mix on its programme of events and activities

Learn how to experiment with the camera and choreography - coming up with fresh ideas, searching out unusual locations and devising new moves. The course will result in a DVD, which you will get a copy of, which will be screened at various events and festivals.

Krumping is a new urban street dance-form that began in South Central Los Angeles and has become a major part of Hip Hop dance culture. It is characterized by free, expressive, and highly energetic moves involving the arms and chest. Come along to this class and learn how to twist, spin and flip!
