Bangladesh 1971 is Autograph ABP’s first major exhibition at Rivington Place, presented in partnership with Shahidul Alam and Drik Agency, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The exhibition will present black and white documentary images from the Drik’s archive in Bangladesh. Over thirty-five years since the mass killings that took place in Bangladesh, Autograph will present a fragment of the country’s history: a history that must be told. For the many who have given their lives for their freedom, for those who have been left behind, who live with the pain, for the perpetrators of the crime who must be confronted with their deeds, and for the youth to know the birth pangs of their nation.
