Pawlet Brookes, Chief Executive
Originally from Manchester but now based in Leicester, Pawlet initially trained as a dance teacher and performer, before going on to have a diverse career in the arts. From being a technician for the Entertainment Corporation and Manchester Palace Theatres, to gaining BA and MA qualifications in Arts Administration and European Cultural Planning respectively, to working for a number of established arts organisations up and down the country, Pawlet has gained a colourful background in arts that reflect the vision, passion and diversity Rich Mix.

Neil Chisholm, Head of Enterprise
With 20 years’ experience in the Entertainment/ Leisure Industry, Neil has worked across Customer Services, Operational & HR for nationwide visitor attractions, cinemas and West End theatres. He oversees the successful delivery and service of our workspaces, lettings, catering, and hires and events for our consumers and tenants alike.

Rohan Thamotheram, Head of Finance
The Head of Finance is responsible for all aspects of the Finance and Accounting for both Rich Mix Cultural Foundation and Rich Mix Cultural Enterprises. Rohan is a qualified ACCA accountant and has previously worked for Volunteering England, MFI Plc, Quaker Oats and Sure Start Brent.

Claire Nouvel, Marketing Manager
Claire heads up our Marketing team, raising awareness about the Rich Mix programme and services, as well as developing the company brand. With 4 years’ experience in marketing both in the business and artistic industries, Claire has worked across  France - her homeland - the Republic of Congo and recently settled in the UK.

Negede Assefa, Film Officer
Negede has got over 10 years’ experience in the Cinema industry having worked for UGC, UCI and ODEON, alongside experience working in Customer Service, Retail and Health and Safety. As Film Officer at Rich Mix, Negede is responsible for delivering a varied film programme as well as working with our Education Officer in regards to film education.

Shanta Bhagwandin, Events Officer
With 11 years work experience ranging from Retail Buying, through to consumer PR and most recently Events Fundraising behind her, Shanta’s role at Rich Mix is to look after our venues and spaces, and facilitate events to the highest standard.

Thalia Cassimatis, Education Officer
Thalia started working as a Production Assistant for a film and television production company after university, before moving to the BFI where she worked for eight years, the last two years as the Education Curator: Schools and FE, programming events and projects at BFI Southbank. At Rich Mix, Thalia is responsible for programming cross-arts events and activities for schools, colleges, young people and families.

Deborah Williams, Arts and Cultural Programmer
Deborah is Creative Producer and artist in residence with Reality Productions. Deborah is also a writer, digital composer, director and performer. She has over twenty years professional experience in the arts including moving image and radio. Her position as Arts and Cultural Programmer is supported by the Cultural Leadership Programme.
